Volunteer at Nashville Earth Day

Nashville Earth Day is made possible by the many generous individuals who volunteer their time to present this free event for our community. You can show your support for Nashville Earth Day by volunteering.

We will have a variety of fun, interesting & even educational roles you can fulfill as a volunteer at Nashville Earth Day Festival. You might be a “Rubbish Wrangler” where you will educate the public on what items can be recycled or composted, or help with exhibitor load in/out, merchandise sales, general manual labor, and/or tear down/load out. You’ll be given a safety vest to wear during your shift, plus gloves if needed. All volunteers will be eligible for prize drawings at the end of your shift.

What will volunteers do?

Volunteers are essential to making Nashville Earth Day happen! They will be involved in many different kinds of activities including:

  • Event set up, vendor set-up and registration

  • Parking and traffic monitoring

  • "Green Sweeping" litter collection in the park

  • Partnering with Waste Management to staff all Recycling Education Stations

  • Assisting the Conservancy booth with fundraising, merchandise and surveys

  • Event tear-down and clean-up

Important Info:

  • Minimum age for volunteers: 13 years (unless supervised by an adult)

  • Volunteers should expect to be on their feet for the duration of their shift. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle, portable chair or blanket to sit on as needed.
